Ziel dieses Projekts ist die Entwicklung eines Biokohleprodukts, das bestehende Substrate für den Anbau von Gewächshäusern vollständig ersetzen kann. Wichtige Aspekte sind eine gleichbleibende, industrielle Qualität und pH-Neutralität. GrowChar sorgt nicht nur für die Vermeidung von Kohlenstoff, sondern sogar für die Entfernung von Kohlenstoff.

INPLUGS-CO2

INPLUGS-CO2 (Interactive PLatform for Understanding Geological Storage of CO2) aims to contribute to raising public awareness on the topic of geological CO2 storage, its risks and urgency, through an interactive online platform built around an EPFL developed testbed and its digital twin. Main principles, key findings and live results will be actively shared with the broader public in order to promote safe implementation of CO2 storage at larger scales.

DeltaSpark's technology mineralizes CO2 up to 1000x faster than traditional methods - without the need for high pressure, high temperatures, or long processing times. By making CO2 removal profitable, we help heavy industries cut emissions and generate green H2 at a fraction of today's costs. The Carbon Removal Booster's support will enable the demonstration of our continuous CO2 mineralisation process.

Radiofrequency Heating

SolidWatts and EMPA collaborate to decrease the complexity and energy consumption of direct air CO2 capture systems based on sorbents. Leveraging state-of-the-art radiofrequency (RF) energy technology, we target to show the feasibility of scaling this technology to an industrial scale by selecting the best suitable sorbent and extracting its associated process parameters.
